Magnezone

This is for the pokemon collab over here! I got Magnezone for my 'mon... never have drawn or used him before but I'm not about to let that stop me!

I try to draw this guy for two weeks while I'm at home, with reference pictures readily available, and can't come up with a decent drawing that I like the looks of.

I get bored at work with my red pen and start doodling it with NO references and FINALLY come up with a design I like. *facepalm* Why? I normally don't like my pen doodles because they end up so messy. So why did HE turn out ok??
